Each year, our MBJC member and good friend Assemblyman Steven Cymbrowitz sponsors a Holocaust Memorial Essay, Poetry, Art and Performance Contest Awards Ceremony.

On Sunday April 9, 2015 from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM in the Rotunda of the Marine and Academic Building at Kingsborough Community College, one of our members' children, Mirachelle Shleifstein, daughter of Lila and Yisroel Shleifstein, and granddaughter of our chairman of the board, Jay Haies, was honored with one of the awards.
