Welcome!

        Manhattan Beach Jewish Center is an orthodox synagogue that is friendly and welcoming. We’re all at different levels of faith, observance, spirituality and connection to the Almighty.  The Jewish Center’s mission is to provide a warm and friendly environment where everyone can grow spiritually.

        The Jewish Center strives to be the center of Jewish life for the community at large. We have a long and proud history of accomplishment.  

       The Jewish Center has prayer services on the Shabbat and Holidays. We also have morning and evening services during the week. On Shabbat following services, we have a delicious Kiddush. The Jewish Center presents classes, lectures, concerts and holiday dinners throughout the year.

       Our spiritual leader is Rabbi Yehoshua Zelikovitz. He is a warm, welcoming and inspiring Rabbi. He is a respected teacher and spiritual advisor. Rabbi Zelikovitz and his wonderful family are an important part of our synagogue community.

     Our members strongly support Israel. We’ve had many programs during the year in support of Israel.

       We are located in an area of Brooklyn with many Jews from the Former Soviet Union. The Jewish Center provides services on the Shabbat and the Holidays in the Russian language. We do many outreach activities in order to provide an inviting environment for our fellow Jews from the Former Soviet Union.

       Some of our members are Holocaust survivors.  Manhattan Beach Jewish Center is a leader in programs for holocaust commemoration and holocaust education.
