Holocaust Education

Each year, our MBJC member and good friend Assemblyman Steven Cymbrowitz sponsors a Holocaust Memorial Essay, Poetry, Art and Performance Contest Awards Ceremony. This year it's being held on Sunday April 9, 2015 from 

9:30 AM to 11:30 AM in the Rotunda of the Marine and Academic Building at Kingsborough Community College.

Manhattan Beach Jewish Center is one of the major sponsors of this very fine and inspiring program. We urge our members and friends to attend this ceremony that honors the memory of the six million who perished in the Holocaust.

This is a free event. There will be a light breakfast served.

Last year, one of our members' children, Mirachelle Shleifstein, daughter of Lila and Yisroel Shleifstein, and granddaughter of our chairman of the board, Jay Haies, was honored with one of the awards. Mazel Tov!
