A special holiday where we fast and pray the entire day. We don't wear leather shoes or us ointments and creams. We also don't bathe, shower or swim. This is a day of repentance. We ask Hashem to forgive our sins. A shofar blow signals the end of the fast.

On this holiday, we sit in the sukkah for seven days. We eat our festive meals in the sukka. Some people even sleep in the sukkah.Come see our giant, spacious sukkah. We also take a the four minim: lulav, etrog, hadasim(myrtle) and aravim (willow).Lulavim are available for purchase.

After we finish reading the Torah , we begin again from Bereishis. Come join us as we dance in our shul and in the street in the night.

We have a fun event for families: grandparents, parents, singles , teenagers and children. We publicly light the menora for eight days and nights. We eat latkes and donuts. We spin dreidels to remember how  we secretly learned Torah despite the harsh Greek decree.

On this holiday, it is a big mitzva to read from the Hagaddah and tell over the story of our exodus from Egypt to our children. We do different things like dipping vegetables in salt water to get children interested and ask questions such as the ma nishtana. We eat matza and not bread. We work hard to clean our houses from chametz so we offer a No Cooking Shabbos  on Shabbos Hagadol. Come enjoy two community seders..

We publicly read the Megilla of Esther in the evening and the morning. We shake the gragger every time we hear Haman's name. We eat hamentaschen shaped like Haman's hatWe have a fun event with magician/clown/illusionist.

From the second night of Pesach, we count 49 days or 7 weeks to the holiday of Shavuous. This holiday is when we received the Torah. Come join us for our festive holiday meal and special night of learning from prominent rabbis in our community.

Terrible tragedies happened to the Jewish people on this very sad fast day. Both temples were destroyed. The Jews were expelled from Spain. We don't eat, drink, wear leather shoes, shower or anoint ourselves with cream. Come join us read Megilla Eicha and hear kinot

A special holiday where we listen to the shofar and coronate Hashem as our king. We eat apples dipped in honey so we should have a sweet year. May we all be written in the book of life..
